professoralbusdumbledore:

when you hate your legs
remember that they carried you through the hardest parts of your life. they get you out of bed every day and take you to what you love.

when you hate your stomach
remember that it helped you gain strength. it holds the memories of deep laughter and great meals. it is full of warmth and joy.

when you hate your arms
remember that they are strong, which makes you strong. but they are also soft and can be used to cuddle and hold the ones you love.

I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow; but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing.

Hi friends this is a little reminder to charge your phone, take your meds, drink enough water, get enough sleep, and listen to lots of music!! Your well-being and happiness is of utmost importance and I hope you take time to take care of yourself.

Recovery takes a lot of time, effort, and planning; but staying sick takes your whole life.

People who call anorexia ‘ana’ infuriate me.
It’s not a girl. It’s not a person.
You’re giving a nickname to a deadly mental illness as if its just a joke.

THANK YOU

I call my eating disorder Ana but I don’t do it for a joke.

Naming it helped me to differentiate that I was not my eating disorder and it was something else inside of me.

Once I knew that it wasn’t me and something separate I was able to fight it.
